Re: EG Marshall/ RADIO MYSTERY THEATER
Fri, February 4, 2005 - 6:48 PMI recall E.G. Marshall from the TV series The Defenders. Not familiar with his Radio Mystery Theater. When was it, and was he the host or one of the reoccuring characters? Was it similiar to Welles' Mercury Theater where there was an ensemble of players? -

Re: EG Marshall/ RADIO MYSTERY THEATER
Sat, February 5, 2005 - 8:35 AMUsed to have a CD-ROM with a bunch of these on MP3 files, but my last PC essentially fried it.
Not sure where you could look, apart from the usual Google or other web-search. I *think* it was called "CBS Radio Mystery Theatre" - Marshall was its host, but his name, as far as I know, did not appear in its title.
I first heard some of the old recordings of this show when I was in high school, and I was instantly hooked. -

Re: EG Marshall/ RADIO MYSTERY THEATER
Sun, February 20, 2005 - 6:38 AMSounds like you found what you were looking for, but my buddy has many episodes posted on his site www.rickworks.org as well, if there are any incomplete in the collection you came across....just another place to try. I have fond memories of listening to those shows myself in the mid-80's (I gues they were re-broadcast then, because the tone of so many is very 70's): Dad, sis, and I lying on the upstairs bed while mom had bridge parties downstairs. We'd sneek down to steal snacks and try and make it back between the commerical breaks, and the unforgetable sound of that squeaking door......
